Michelle's Blog
Hey, there! Welcome to what used to be my website "Journals" page and is now my new "Blog" page. That's Wright! I've decided to start blogging!
If you've ever been to this page before, you'll know it used to be excusively devoted to my Tour Journals. You'll still be able to find all my previous Journal posts here, but in the process of posting these journals I've discovered that folks want to visit with me about more than just my live shows, and I guess I want to discuss more topics than just touring, so these days a blog seems to be the way to go. We're calling it the Wright Blog. It's going to launch soon with a multi-post account of my recent "WrightSongs" tour to southern Manitoba. After that, who knows where we'll go? I do know we hope to discuss a wide range of topics. And I expect that from time to time the Wright Blog will feature guest bloggers. But truly I'm looking to you for your feedback to help me establish my agenda. So send me your ideas and comments and we'll build this thing together.
Thanks as always for your support and enthusiam!
Love,
Michelle

The band and I are really looking forward to doing the Christmas Tour. I've been getting emails from the guys saying things like "Hey, looking forward to the tour." and "I think it's going to be the best one yet." That inspires me. We do enjoy boarding the bus and playing music together. But without sounding too cheesy, it really is because of you..

Michelle's Afghanistan Journal
May 2006
I left home for the Nashville airport at 10:20 am. Mom dropped me off at the airport and just fell to pieces as we said goodbye. (I don't think sending one of her kids off to Afghanistan was ever in her plans.) The flight to Toronto was uneventful. Upon arrival I met up with most of the people going on this tour.

Michelle's African Journal
We left Nashville on Wednesday at 7am and arrived in Zambia on Thursday at 4pm. For those of you who are counting, that's 9000 miles and over 26 hours in planes and airports. With a 7 hour time change, my body definitely knows it's on a different continent!
