Michelle will be playing six dates in March and April as part of her Wright Songs – An acoustic evening with Michelle Wright tour. Michelle will be opening the string of dates in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area of Lancaster, New York, on March 13. Soon after, Michelle will follow-up with a run of shows in Manitoba and Ontario between April 5 and April 10. Check out the tour page for more information.

This Tuesday, December 1st - CMT Canada’s #1 rated show, the Chevy Cross Canada Countdown, re-airs an interview with Michelle recorded in Toronto during her mid-November visit to the Royal Winter Fair. Michelle’s appearance will air in two brief segments about 30 minutes and 90 minutes into the program, which begins at 4pm ET. The interview first aired on Friday, November 27th and re-aired on Saturday, November 28th; if you missed those airings, or if you want to catch the interview again, Tuesday's re-airing on CMT Canada will be the final one.

(November 17, 2009) Michelle's December 18th show at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts in Prince Albert, SK is now sold out.

When she learned about the sell-out, Michelle enthused, "That's great news! Thanks to all my fans in and around Prince Albert for making it the first sold out concert of this year's I'm Dreaming of a Wright Christmas tour. The band and I are currently in rehearsals developing this year's show to make it our best Christmas show ever, with some new music, state-of-the-art sound, and an amazing lighting system we've never brought to Western Canada before, so news of a sell-out gets our adrenaline pumping and the creative juices flowing even more! (November 10, 2009) As you may know, Michelle travelled to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island this past weekend to perform at a November 7th concert there to benefit Light Up Papua New Guinea, a project in honour of Captain Nichola Goddard, the first Canadian female soldier killed in combat since World War II.

Michelle was deeply honoured to appear at this concert: on September 17, 2006, the day that Captain Goddard was killed, Michelle was at the base camp in Kandahar, Afghanistan entertaining the troops, and she attended Captain Goddard's ramp ceremony two days later.

In addition to her musical performances on Saturday night, Michelle surprised the audience by reading a poem written in Captain Goddard's honour (the first poem Michelle has ever written). Talking about the poem on Saturday night, Michelle related, "As a result of this invitation I started to reflect upon my experience of being in a war zone when a soldier serving her country lost her life... and the words just poured out." Michelle presented the manuscript of the poem to Nichola's parents, Tom and Sally Goddard.
