(Nashville, TN / Toronto, ON – April 24, 2012) Brian Ferriman, president of Savannah Music and personal manager of Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame star Michelle Wright, is pleased to announce today’s release to Canadian country radio of the Savannah recording artist’s much-anticipated new single, Another Good Day.
Michelle lights up when she talks about Another Good Day, revealing that “it feels great to be releasing new music, as always, but I’m especially proud of this song, its positivity, its optimism … That’s the kind of overall mood I’m in these days and the songs I’ve been writing and singing lately reflect that.”
Written by Michelle along with good friend Patricia Conroy and Emerson Drive’s Danick Dupelle, and produced by Jason Barry, Another Good Day also features the creativity of some of Michelle’s favourite Music City musicians.
Michelle Wright is one of Canada’s most widely recognized and awarded country singers. The first Canadian-born artist in the modern era of country music to have a Top Ten hit in the U.S., to have a Number One video on CMT-USA, and to win an Academy of Country Music Award, Michelle has been recognized from the outset for her expressive voice and distinctive style. With over 40 major music industry awards to her credit, a string of 25 Top Ten hits on radio in her homeland, including seven Number One singles, worldwide record sales approaching two million and nearing 1,000,000 units in Canada alone, plus touring travel across North America and to every other continent except Antarctica, Michelle’s career is one of which many artists can only dream.
This past September Michelle was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, one of the youngest Canadian country artists ever to be so honoured. April 24, 2012, is sure to be Another Good Day for Michelle and her fans all across Canada as she starts the next exciting leg of her wonderful career journey.
