The Great Canadian Roadtrip Rides Again

Canadian Country Icons, Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker, Reunite for Canadian Acoustic Tour

Three of Canada’s most celebrated country artists, Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker, are set to hit stages in Canada on The Great Canadian Roadtrip tour.

Nearly three years after launching the first leg of the acclaimed run, the 24-date acoustic tour will once again bring audiences an intimate evening of songs, stories, and stripped-back performances, giving fans a rare chance to experience some of the country’s most recognizable hits in an up-close and personal setting. Stops include Nanaimo, Red Deer, Ottawa, Kingston, Oshawa, and more.

“We’ve been lucky to spend so many years travelling across Canada and connecting with fans through our music,” shared Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker in a joint statement. “This tour gives us the chance to bring things back to the songs and the stories behind them”.

True to their roots, The Great Canadian Roadtrip proudly supports World Vision Canada in its mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children worldwide. Through this partnership, audiences across the country are invited to learn about the global impact of child sponsorship, create generational change through humanitarian efforts, and celebrate Canadian music and community. Since forming in 1994, Doc Walker has become one of Canada’s most decorated country groups, earning a JUNO Award, 14 CCMA Awards, and a long list of chart-topping singles and videos. Joining them is two-time CCMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member, and reigning CCMA Personality of the Year Jason McCoy, whose career spans more than three decades as both a solo artist and frontman of The Road Hammers. Also taking the stage is five-time CCMA Female Vocalist of the Year Michelle Wright. A Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, she remains one of Canada’s most internationally recognized country stars. Across 12 albums, Wright has sold millions of copies worldwide and charted 20 Top Ten radio hits throughout her celebrated career.

In other news, a brand-new collaborative single, “The Great Canadian Roadtrip Rides Again,” will be released in advance of the tour via Navigator Records

All tickets will be on sale on June 22 at 9 AM local time, except where noted with an asterisk (*). Full tour schedule and complete ticket information can be found at www.thegreatcanadianroadtrip.com

NEW CHRISTMAS SINGLE VIDEO. I'm so excited to finally release this Christmas song. I co-wrote this song with the late great Jeannie Seely and Hall of Fame songwriter Victoria Shaw. We gathered at Jeannie's house and had such a great time. The song was produced by my producer @Bob Funk. The lyric video was created by Shaye Smith. I hope you love it as much as I do. Merry Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk5zp8C2T3c
