The Great Canadian Roadtrip Rides Again
Canadian Country Icons, Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker, Reunite for Canadian Acoustic Tour
Toronto, ON - Three of Canada’s most celebrated country artists, Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker, are set to hit stages in Canada on The Great Canadian Roadtrip tour.
Nearly three years after launching the first leg of the acclaimed run, the 24-date acoustic tour will once again bring audiences an intimate evening of songs, stories, and stripped-back performances, giving fans a rare chance to experience some of the country’s most recognizable hits in an up-close and personal setting. Stops include Nanaimo, Red Deer, Ottawa, Kingston, Oshawa, and more.
“We’ve been lucky to spend so many years travelling across Canada and connecting with fans through our music,” shared Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy, and Doc Walker in a joint statement. “This tour gives us the chance to bring things back to the songs and the stories behind them”.
True to their roots, The Great Canadian Roadtrip proudly supports World Vision Canada in its mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children worldwide. Through this partnership, audiences across the country are invited to learn about the global impact of child sponsorship, create generational change through humanitarian efforts, and celebrate Canadian music and community. For more information, visit www.WorldVision.ca.
Since forming in 1994, Doc Walker has become one of Canada’s most decorated country groups, earning a JUNO Award, 14 CCMA Awards, and a long list of chart-topping singles and videos. Joining them is two-time CCMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member, and reigning CCMA Personality of the Year Jason McCoy, whose career spans more than three decades as both a solo artist and frontman of The Road Hammers. Also taking the stage is five-time CCMA Female Vocalist of the Year Michelle Wright. A Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, she remains one of Canada’s most internationally recognized country stars. Across 12 albums, Wright has sold millions of copies worldwide and charted 20 Top Ten radio hits throughout her celebrated career.
In other news, a brand-new collaborative single, “The Great Canadian Roadtrip Rides Again,” will be released in advance of the tour via Navigator Records.

What a night as we celebrated the golden era of 90’s country music to a sold out crowd at the PROPST ARENA- Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL. This is an experience that I will cherish forever. I caught up with so many artists and friends that I've shared award stages with, show stages and back stages with across North America. We hugged and laughed and reminisced but watching them performed as a fan myself was really wonderful and then it was my turn to perform to that crowd that cheered, smiled and sang along. It will forever be in my heart. You were an amazing audience. Thank you for showing all of us so much love. I can't wait to see the final version that will be aired on PBS. Stay tuned.
Thank you People Magazine People for the wonderful picture of us all together.

A Wright Christmas & More
"Recording A Wright Christmas is one of my favorite musical experiences," explains Wright. "Instead of looking for a 'hit,' I got to record some of my favorite Christmas songs. We approached this project the same way. We added the classic 'Silver Bells,' but I also fulfilled a dream of mine by writing my own 'new favorite' Christmas songs with my friends Jeannie Seely, Victoria Shaw, Patricia Conroy, and Bob Funk, which has added more great memories for me. We had so much fun writing these songs, and getting back into the studio with my friend and producer Bob Funk is always something I look forward to."
"A Wright Christmas and More" cd is now available on my website.
